RECREATION TENNIS LESSONS

Recreation Services offers both private and group lessons for everyone from the novice to the advanced player. With Charles Perretti & Valentina DiStefano (click on their name to see bio), our experienced and certified instructors, lessons are designed to teach the basics of forehands, backhands, ground strokes, serves, volleys, net play, and scoring.

INTRODUCTORY TENNIS CLINIC

This is an introductory recreational clinic helping players to develop & improve their skill level and to meet other tennis players. No experience is necessary and racquets are provided. Open to FIU students and employees.

  • Receive instruction in a small group setting
  • Learn the fundamental strokes: forehand, backhand, volley & serve
  • Develop eye-hand coordination
  • Build familiarity with the ball & racquet
  • Become exposed to the rules of the game & strategy

Balls will be provided, but bring your own racquet (or check one out from the Rec Center Pro Shop).
