  1. Currently enrolled FIU Students and Recreation (REC) Members must present an ACTIVATED FIU PANTHER ID CARD for access.
  2. DAY MEMBER: An FIU faculty/staff non-REC Member, FIU Alumni non-REC Member, or FIU Student without ID may purchase a one-day non-refundable DAY PASS for $10. An FIU Panther ID Card (or Panther ID# for FIU students) is required. Day Passes are not available to the general public nor to non-FIU affiliated individuals.
  3. GUEST PASS: An FIU Student or Recreation Member may sponsor up to 2 guests (non-FIU affiliated individuals) per visit. There is a non-refundable GUEST FEE of $10 per person per visit, and both the Sponsor and Guest(s) must complete and sign the Guest Waiver. GUEST BEHAVIOR IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SPONSOR.
  4. EXERCISE AT YOUR OWN RISK. FIU and Recreation Services are not responsible for injuries sustained by individuals participating in recreational activities or programs. All participants are advised to have proper medical coverage and accident insurance before participating. Please report injuries to the facility's Service Desk for documentation and assistance.
  5. Appropriate workout/sports attire and athletic footwear is required in all activity areas. No jeans, crocs or open-toed shoes. Shirts must be worn at all times in all indoor recreation venues.
  6. No one under the age of 18 is permitted to use Recreation Services facilities (exception: Tennis Center and Panther Hall Pool). Photo ID with proof of age is required
  7. Due to regular crowding of high use areas (first floor free weight zone, second floor cardio area, and the basketball courts), skateboards will be prohibited from all activity areas. Skateboards must be either stored in the locker room (at owner's risk) or locked to the skateboard rack outside the front doors of the Rec Center (accommodates both regular and long-boards; you provide your own lock).
  8. Lost & Found: Lost articles should be reported to the Rec Center Pro Shop or Membership window. Found articles should be delivered to these same areas. Valuables found are delivered to the Public Safety Office after 24 hours.
  9. Individuals whose personal actions infringe upon the well-being of other users can be denied access.
  10. USE OF RECREATION SERVICES FACILITIES IS A PRIVILEGE. Recreation Services staff have the authority to deny entrance or disallow further participation due to violation of these policies or any other behavior deemed unacceptable. All recreation participants are required to adhere to the Rules of Conduct as outlined in the University's Student and Employee Handbooks.
