Here's what's happening in FIU Recreation Services:
SPRING BREAK REC CENTER HOURS
Just like you, the Recreation Center will be taking Spring Break with a shortening of hours. Beginning Sunday, Mar. 9 through Saturday, Mar. 15, the Rec Center will run on reduced hours.
Hours on Sunday the 9th and Saturday the 15th will be 10am-6pm. Remember that Daylight Savings Time (DST) begins the morning of Sunday, Mar. 9 - move your clock ahead 1 hour!
From Monday the 10th through Thursday the 13th, hours will be 6:30am-9pm. On Friday the 14th, the Rec will be open 6:30am-7pm.
Regular Spring hours resume on Sunday, Mar. 16.

NATIONAL OUTDOOR LEADERSHIP SCHOOL VISIT
Are you interested in the Great Outdoors? Do you love hiking, camping, climbing, and other wilderness activities? If so, the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) has something for you!
On Wednesday, Mar. 19, Recreation Services, along with the FIU Center for Leadership & Service and the Career Services Office, sponsors a visit by Marina Fleming, NOLS National Marketing Representative, who will be on campus talking to students interested in internships, graduate assistantships, and job opportunities through NOLS. Ms. Fleming will be at a GC Pit table from 10am-noon, then have an open session in GC 214A at noon. Following at 2pm, she will be speaking to recreation management and other interested students in OE 100.
If a career in the outdoors interests you, or if you just want to find out if it might, plan to attend one of these informational sessions. It may be direction for you!
